I encountered the following error when attempting to shop for MOSFETs: Our apologies, due to the significant number of parameter selections your browser is unable to return this set of results. Please alter your selections and try this again. I tried with a couple of different browsers and got the same result. What is up with this? I have never before had a problem adding any number of filter criteria. (And it is normal for me to iteratively add a lot of filter criteria as I zero in on a part selection.) This is a significant usability regression.
I have seen that here an there myself. I then normally scale back the total number of individual filters. However if you are referring to a large number of selections in a given filter I am not sure how work around that issue either.

In this particular instance, it happened when I already had filters active for 5 different categories (FET Type, Rds On, Drain to Source Voltage, Stocking Options, and Exclude Marketplace). For a few of those (esp. Rds On and Drain to Source Voltage), I had a range of values selected. I then went to add an additional filter for Manufacturer and attempted to select the various manufacturers I was interested in. That’s when I encountered the error. If I understand it from the web team correctly, that behavior occurs when the URL length resulting from a selection of many individual values (e.g. all Rds(on) less than 500mΩ) exceeds allowable limits. It’s definitely not new; IIRC it was pre-plague when I first complained about it myself. It’s also not going to be going away any time soon. Best practice when one runs into it is to change the order in which one applies filters, in order to reduce the number of individual elements selected and t
